We’re beyond grateful and excited to share that we’ve been named the winner of the Coloradoan’s 2024 taco bracket. This recognition means the world to us, especially considering our journey—from a small taco cart serving Fort Collins’ late-night crowd in 2012 to a thriving restaurant today.
Founded by Cesar Lopez and Berenice Longoria when they were just 22 and 19, our story blends two dreams: bringing the authentic flavors of Mexico City and Monterrey to Northern Colorado and creating a community hub for taco lovers of all kinds. Over the years, we’ve grown from offering just steak street tacos to adding chicken, pork, vegetarian, and specialties like our Azteca taco, loaded with nopal cactus, asadero cheese, chorizo, fajita veggies, guacamole, and fresh cilantro.
Despite the challenges of opening our first brick-and-mortar location during the COVID-19 shutdowns, our incredible customers kept us going with their loyal support. Now, after four years on South College Avenue, we’re gearing up for our next move to the Scotch Pines Village Shopping Center this June.
We couldn’t have come this far without all of you. Your votes, visits, and word-of-mouth have helped us reach this milestone. From our original cart on College and Oak to our soon-to-be new location, we remain committed to serving mouthwatering tacos and a warm, welcoming atmosphere. Thank you for making us Fort Collins’ taco champion—this win is as much yours as it is ours!
